Lily’s Bakery – Weeks 1,2
This is the first time I’ve started the game-making process with the story. Though it was energizing and fun—all of us huddled around a white board plotting things out, thinking about characters, etc—I’m glad we pivoted to individual tasks after the first week. At that point the story was solid enough to then help inform the composition demos I made in the second week, without us getting too far into the weeds of plot details and coherence. Compared to previous demos I’ve made for games, the demos I made stand out as already thematically strong and specific. Though I think we’re a little behind other WolverineSoft teams on the actual making of the playable game, I think spending the time we did on story was (and will continue to be) worth it.
At the end of our first story session!
